The 2021 call for proposals is now open and offers new funding opportunities for collaborative research projects. The dead line for the submission of the proposals is on the 31st of January 2021.
The outgoing grants is to help permanent researchers from Tec21 laboratories, spend a short stay (one month) in a foreign university or industry with the aim of building up new collaborations on new topics.
Long visitors grants
The aim of long visitors grants is to welcome foreign researchers for 2 or 3 months per year over three years. Such an operation is associated with one PhD grant (50% is funded by Tec21 and 50% is funded by partner institution), the PhD candidate being jointly supervised by the visitor and Tec21 researchers. The budget allocated to travel and accommodation, originally dedicated to welcoming the visitor in Grenoble, can now be shared between the local researcher and the visitor in order to facilitate exchanges between the two institutions as part of the co-supervision of the PhD student.
PhD grants finance projects carried out by two laboratories from Tec21 research community in order to reinforce our internal connections. This year, the call is broadened to national collaborations, and external French laboratories can now be involved in the projects.
Our post-doc grants are for one year projects involving a collaboration between two laboratories from Tec 21.
The aim of short duration visitor grant is to welcome foreign researchers in our laboratories for up to 2 months to achieve progress in a specific area of research, as well as to prepare more ambitious projects in collaboration with Tec 21 research laboratories.
Proof of concept and R&D internships
Since 2014, Tec21 finances 6 months internships on projects oriented towards the valorisation of research results. Around 35 such projects were funded so far, a significant number of have given interesting outcomes such as industrial PhD projects or governmental research grants, maturation actions financed by the technology transfer company Linksium (in particular "out of lab" prizes), patent applications and even startup creations. The calls for proof of concept and R&D proposals are still opened on an ongoing basis this year
